Friday Video: Harrier Low Pass

I don't know what it is, but I love watching low pass fighter jet fly-bys. This one is particularly funny because the guy they put up says "I won't flinch"

Watch and see if he flinches...

Hello! Here's a picture that will be a nice wallpaper.
Its a Harrier taking off at sunset. I hope to see some of these this summer!

Here's my guote for today:

"Landing on a ship at night is like a trip to the dentist; you may get away with no pain, but you just don't feel comfortable."

Lieutenant Commander Thomas Quinn, US Navy

Great shot of a Harrier on takeoff. From this angle, the aircraft has quite a menacing look. Love it.

Enjoy!

Nice shot here of an AV-8B Harrier taking off. I used to see them when a squadron would deploy to Nellis (they don't like hot weather...). It was fun watching them get loaded with weapons since the weapons troops loaded bombs by hand!

If you've ever seen a Harrier perform at an airshow, you know it is a thriller. There's just something about raw thrust and vertical takeoffs (not to mention hovering).

Enjoy!

Here's a a nice picture of an AV/8B Harrier on a carrier. I will fall in for John while he is away from 23rd to Dec 30th. Here's a first wallpaper that I couldn't wait to share with you.

I added a cooling filter and made it almost black and white.

Due to some personal problems, I will not be able to post much here. But here's a wallpaper of a nice formation flight of F-18 and Harriers. It didn't needed a lot adjustments.

Hello! Here's a shot of two AV/8B Harriers. These planes have the special ability to take off vertically which is very usefull to take off from carriers. I did some level and contrast adjustments.
